Here at Hehr & Hehr Co., L.P.A, we are grateful for the service of our local veterans, active duty members and other heroes who selflessly put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
While it’s impossible to ever repay these local heroes for their sacrifice, in honor of Veterans Day, we will be offering FREE healthcare directives for any active duty service member, veteran, police, fire and emergency personnel/first-responder in the community.
This Free Health Care Directive event will take place the week of November 12th at our office located at 5000 Rockside Road #320, Independence, Ohio 44131. There are no appointments necessary and there are zero strings attached. Simply drop by the firm between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. to start the process.
A healthcare directive is something that should be in the arsenal of every local hero, as it legally documents your most personal healthcare wishes in the event of a medical emergency. These include wishes for life-support, feeding tubes, blood transfusions and even decisions of whether you want nursing home vs. home health care in the event of future incapacity.
The healthcare directive also appoints your legal “healthcare agent,” whom is the person that you trust to make these critical decisions if you are unable to speak for yourself. By taking the time to appoint a legal healthcare agent, you can avoid delays in your medical treatment, bypass HIPAA laws and ensure your family never winds up in court fighting over your well-being and care.
As a bonus, we will also include for free our Personal Affairs Organizer that can be given to your closest loved ones to let them know where to find your DD214, what insurance you have, prior medical history, current mediations, where your health care directives are located and who has been appointed your agent, etc. Having this document will allow your loved ones to make fast decisions and access all necessary documents in a medical crisis.
So if you are a hero (or know someone who is), please stop by our office the week of November 12th so we can offer our legal services as a thank you for YOURS. We honor your sacrifice and appreciate your commitment to our safety and security.
